New T-Pain! And … I REALLY Like It!

Ok, so I been wonderin’ what Nappy Boy had been up to and hadn’t heard much from him in a minute. Then one day I was listening to our sister station and BOOYAH…deritwas!  T-Pain got some new stuff out and the beat reminds me of what would happen if the beat from Nelly’s “Let Me See Your Grill” mated with the beat of CaliSwagDistrict’s “Teach Me How To Dougie”.  So of course…I chair danced…AT WORK no less! O.O

What I like about this video is every female, regardless of size, how much (or little) booty … was dressed (in other words covered the hell up) and still managed to look good, shake dat ass and kill da booty wurk!  The beat is head-nodable, the lyrics make me giggle a bit and they’re clever because of the fact that not only are they easy to remember (if songs get stuck in your head), but there’s little to no cursing (if any!)!!

So I suggest as much airplay as possible and possibly incorporate into your booty strengthening exercises once per day, ya dig?

The Game is not Playin’

So I heard this cat a long long time ago when he first came out with “Hate It or Love It” and I gotta say, I love his flow! I never bought the albums and hadn’t heard much from him, but every now and again I’d come across something on youtube and nod my head, once again appreciating his flow.

So about a couple of weeks ago, I was thinking of this cat and typed in his name on youtube and came across this diss track here:

Now…I’m not big on diss tracks.  I feel that they can unnecessarily be the harbinger of escalated bs that can lead to fisticuffs and then additional unneeded violence.  But every now and then a back and forth comes out like the whole Jay-Z vs Nas battle rap war that led to some brilliant wordplay and well, sufficed to say while I may not listen to either all that much, I got mad love and respect for both artists’ skills.

Anyway, Game’s got a new cd out and when I heard Uncle Otis, I had to see what else he was tossin’ out and came across his newest track, Pot of Gold.

The thing that I can give mad respect to The Game for is he never left home…not in his heart anyway.  He doesn’t forget where he comes from, getting caught up in the glitz and glamour of Hollywood, big ballin’ and all that.  So big up to The Game.  If the whole cd is anything like these tracks, he better make it to number 1 on the charts.

Club Soul Blew It Out!!

Oh my god y’all!!

Three days later and I’m still amazed at the awesomeness that went down Sunday night!

WOTC has finally opened its own club!!  Club Soul is a minor detour off our beaten path.  With DJs that will play not just R&B and Hip-Hop, this club is for dancing, socializing and just outright partying!

But that’s besides the point.  Where were YOU on Sunday night?!?  Not at the club I’m sure

Three hours of nonstop hot music, laughter, dancing and holy crap…did I mention the sim restart? LMAO

From 6 – 9 Sunday night, the skies opened, the people tp’d in…some blinded us with hella ass and facelights and we managed to have a wonderful gathering of grown folks who came together to support the debut of our new station headquarters, where all WOTC events will be held!

It was beautiful!

DJ HITTEM N THE JAW held down the first hour talkin’ smack and playing some hot tunes that spanned the generations and definitely hooked us up with some good LIVE mixing!  Granted he has a potty mouth (oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooh! ), but he had us howlin’, dancing and theeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeen…

DJ  SCHMOKE took over in the 2nd hour keeping our hearts pumpin’, booties poppin and THEN it happened

“Your sim will restart in 5 minutes. If you are still logged in you will be disconnected.”

REALLY?? REAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLY…

Some of us got out! But the rest said… “shooooooooooo… I’m too busy shakin’ my ass…so yeah..” then BING…disconnected. When we came back though, DJ Schmoke was still keepin’ thing ablaze and next thing you know…the sim was as full as before (with a special appearance from half the SL NFL Chargers football team WHAT!).

DJ BABY J aka “Bosslady”  closed out the night in way only she knows how… OFF.THE.CHAIN!  Her smooth voice and swagger had the djs openly commenting before she took the turntables and she held them in the palm of her hand clean into the night.

It was a wonderful debut and we’re so thankful and blessed for those who came out to support.  Make sure you join “Off Tha Chain Promotions” INWORLD to stay on top of events for the station AND Club Soul, because that is the place to be!

Hump Day Madness: For Will & Jada…

This is my PERSONAL PLEA for Will & Jada Smith. After seeing the many links yesterday of their separation, then the wonderful people.com statement seen here, I couldn’t help but make a personal plea to the power couple.  Just…imagine for a second that this is Meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee singing this to them (“ahem”clears throat):

For real though…I hope all is well in Will and Jada land.  Because that’s a hot couple and honestly…they don’t need the media making it out that they’re not together.  And…if they’re not…that’s not our business anyway!  But for real though… Jada…Big Willeh…don’t split up!!!  Y’all my last shred of hope that real couples do exist in Hollywood!

Digging Through The Crates: Lloyd Gets it..Shawteh ;)

Atlanta R&B singer Lloyd just came out with his 4th (I think it’s his 4th) studio album on July 29, 2011 called “King of Hearts”.  He may seem like some flash-in-the-pan noob to some, but considering this is not only his 4th solo cd and he was once in a …. waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaait for iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit … boy band type of group (*gasp*), this crooner has proven time and again that he knows exactly what he’s doing.  With a cute lil swagger, his dreamy semi-high pitched voice and dance moves to boot…I see why the chickies fall over themselves when he’s around.  So here’s a sort of oldie by him to kick Monday and this workweek off with a booty shake (speaking of which…one of the ladies in here…DAAAAAAAAAAAAAMN) and a smile.  Enjoy!
